One of our customers was developing an electronic unit to be used in an automotive application. This product required connection to an external ariel and GPS antenna, alongside other power and signal connections. We were asked to manufacture a complete set of cables for this unit and we were also asked to overmould the cables together as part of an IP68 rated grommet at the entry point of an external unit. Our Engineers designed all of the cable assemblies, with the specific coaxial connectors fitted and then designed the overmould grommets, ensuring that dimensions and tolerances were exact enough to give the watertight seal required on the unit.

Our China factory has recently invested heavily in new termination and testing equipment, specifically for coaxial cable assemblies. This investment has helped ensure that all of our coaxial cables are manufactured and tested to the highest quality and also keeping costs to a minimum.
